Vysyons Is Here: Stories, Strategy, and the Space to Say More
Today is July 1, 2026, and Vysyons Communications is officially open for business again. I’ve been building toward this day for a while. It feels good to finally be here.
You may not know Vysyons Communications yet. You might know me, Kelly Howard, from work we’ve done together, from a conference, from a referral, from somewhere in the long and winding road of thirty years in this field. If you do, welcome back. If you don’t, I’m glad you found your way here.
Vysyons Communications is a boutique narrative and legacy studio. The work lives across four pillars: Communications and Media, Heritage and Legacy, Events and Engagement, and Editorial and Publishing. What connects them is straightforward. Every organization, every family, every individual has a story. Most of them deserve more care and strategy than they’re getting. That’s the gap Vysyons was built to close.
I’m based in New Orleans, Louisiana, which shapes everything about how I think about this work. But the work itself doesn’t stop at the city limits. If you’re a nonprofit in Atlanta trying to make your mission legible to funders, a family in Chicago wanting to preserve a history before it disappears, a writer in Oakland who has been sitting on a manuscript for three years, a community organization anywhere trying to plan something that actually means something, this is for you too.
This Substack is where the longer thinking lives. Not captions, not bullet points, not quick takes. Essays. Conversations that need more room than a LinkedIn post allows. Issues drop on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. The first full issue arrives July 7.
I’m glad you’re here. Reply and tell me what brought you.
